After missing out on the Eared Pitta 3 times already this year, my final hope came when I received a tip off from a good friend, Guide A that another pair was feeding young at Luung Pad's. I left at 4am Tuesday morning with the intention of getting the Pitta and then having a few non birding days at the beach with the family. All was going well and looking good until I was involved in a terrible accident involving a young lad on a motorcycle.........
Instead of the beach, we had to spend the day at the police station, where my car was impounded awaiting further investigation.. So that's it for this holiday.. No car = No birding.
